The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Gilson, Inc. The purpose of this contract is for the requisition of an automated liquid handling robot system suitable for use in the analysis of persistent organic pollutants in methods used by the Persistent Organic Pollutants Laboratory to automate the transfer of various chemicals between various tubes. The use of a robot ensures that this can be done accurately and precisely at both small volumes (100uL) and larger volumes (10mL). The Laboratory also requires a liquid handler capable of automated mixing of samples and a use of a septum-piercing probe.
This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 USC 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.
